Tucked away in the Luberon valley amongst the vineyards and lavender fields, the views cannot be faulted. Pop to the local market by bike, hike in the herb-scented hills and visit quaint, perched villages before returning to your salt water pool with vistas illuminated by the Provençal sun.

Interior

The sumptuous sheets at Mas des Chênes are made for long lie-ins and the stand alone bath and Italian showers for a luxurious soak before wandering out with a steaming cup of coffee on the terrace. All bedrooms have plenty of storage space and bathrooms so guests can have their own personal space.

Conversation flows from the spacious kitchen, where there is room for many cooks, onto the living room, dining room and out to the terrace and pizza oven. A pot of Ratatouille stews in the high-end Lacanche oven as the children carefully select dishware and glasses from the collection before settling down for a memorable jovial feast.

Exterior

Here in Provence, days are spent in the lush outdoors. Make the most of the pool as you top up your tan, sip rosé wine as you look out onto the ancient valley and enjoy sundowners on the comfortable outdoor sofas.

Go further afield and you will not be disappointed with the adventure that there is to be had. Try horse riding through the vineyards, shopping for antiques, picnicking in the pine forests and wandering the cobbled village streets as you take in the rich history, culture and beauty of this stunning part of France.
