Overview

Escape to the picture postcard slice of Provence that you have always dreamt of visiting by taking hire of Pine Lodge. Hidden at the end of a quiet street, this 18th Century home exudes all that is Provence. On arrival, the children sprint across the manicured lawns and squeal as they receive a satisfyingly refreshing plunge into the centre piece of the garden, that is the pool. It doesn’t take you long before your feet are dangling in the pool but your hands are fully occupied -with a glass of rosé.

Take a 5 minute stroll into the stunning village of Gordes, where ancient discoveries take place and gastronomic meals are devoured; return with colourful local produce off the market to have a go at your own Provençal meal in your self-catering retreat.

Interior

Pine Lodge has all the modern conveniences in the kitchen and living spaces without spoiling the ancient character of the house. The rustic kitchen has a Lacanche oven and deep stone sink with both antique and modern furnishings and the stone walls and wooden beams in the sitting room match perfectly with the grand fireplace for cosy winter evenings. The Provençal style dining room seats 6-8 guests and pushes out to the dining terrace where all the guests can also be easily seated in the shade.

Upstairs, the master ensuite bedroom is spacious with ample storage with views over the garden. The other rooms share a tastefully tiled bathroom.

Exterior

Pass time with your loved ones in total privacy in 3,400² of mature cypress trees, olive trees and Provençal shrubs. Share breakfast on the front patio with dappled sunlight and lunch on the covered terrace for that celebratory meal or simply float your worries away on the glistening pool.

For more action, venture out to the cedre forest for hiking and biking, go sightseeing at the Sénanque abbey amidst the lavender fields or wander the cobbled streets of the perched villages. Pine Lodge is in the perfect location for a truly Provençal experience.
