Overview

Pitch perfect harmony of old marries new! In an ancient valley, the Provençal sun illuminates world-class vineyards and olive groves as we approach an old farmhouse with a twist – Villa Estelle.  Inside, contemporary design and decor allows for spacious living areas and luxury while much of the exterior offers exposed stone walls, traditional window shutters, a country courtyard and mature native trees.

Modern design extends to the garden where straight edges frame the chic pool, quirky art contrasts against the high bushes and a full size tennis court is surrounded by pine trees and vineyards.

Interior

Villa Estelle oozes class with pops of electric colours. Each room has been exceptionally designed in modern minimalist style to offer a sleek kitchen with state of the art appliances for long cooking sessions with friends. The mammoth sliding glass door allows light to flood into the dining room and kitchen while the chefs can keep the conversation flowing with friends at the poolside.

The fabulous bedrooms house walk in rainfall showers and stand-alone bathtubs of original design, perfect for luxuriating in after a vigorous day part-taking in tennis tournaments and swimming laps in the pool.

Exterior

After you have worked up an appetite, the patio is the perfect place to reunite and enjoy an afternoon barbeque. Fuelled and ready to go? The Dentelles de Montmirail are perfect for adventurous souls who seek hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing, couple this with a stop off in a wine cellar in Gigondas for a tasting or lick ice-cream along the water ways of L’Isle sur la Sorgue.

Back at Villa Estelle -with children tucked up in bed in their fancy rooms- the grown-ups crack open a bottle of Gigondas and slip into the Jacuzzi under the stars.

-Entre through the fabulous gates of its 12^th and 14^th century ramparts

-Pass by ancient fountains and religious buildings

-Visit the Medieval Pareloup church which now houses sculptures by Jacques Bernus

-Visit the Allée des Sarcophages- a collection of sarcophagi from the 5th-7th century found in a nearby field in the 1700’s (hundreds have been found on the route from Carpentras to Mormoiron). Locals believed only vampires could be sleeping in these stone coffins

-Behind the church, find the History and Folklore Museum in the 17^th century White Pentitents chapel and discover tools, costumes and the way of life from days gone by

-Eat at the Château de Sade. Here Marquis de Sade was born and produced the first ever theatre festival in France, starring himself…and others
