Overview

Provençal heritage, lush grand cru producing vineyards and a stylish modern villa awaits you in Beaumes-de-Venise. Villa Bijou is in walking distance from officially ‘one of the most beautiful villages of France’ atop 2.6 hectares of terraced olive groves set against a hill with views of pine and cypress trees. All there is left to do is crack open a bottle of the local Muscat wine, kick off your shoes and relax –feet dangling in the alluring pool.

Interior

Contemporary and stylish interiors in beige tones with splashes of red make the communal areas appealing to the eye and with an open plan design; family-time can really take place. The modern kitchen at Villa Bijou has all the bells and direct access to the vibrant terrace for the perfect place for coffee and croissant. Looking down to the pool and courtyard, the kids are allowed to run off before you have even finished your cup.

Steak and a fresh salad for lunch, prepared in the summer pool house kitchen; you can sit on the wicker sofas inside, on the terrace or simply take shelter from the sun with a good book.

Exterior

This unusual architecture for the region fits beautifully in to the hilly outsides. Spend some much needed time basking in the sun and plunging into the pool but be sure to venture out to discover this stunning region. Villa Bijou is set beneath the dramatic jagged rocks of the Dentelles de Montmirail where you will find accessible trails for all in the shade of oak trees with views over the vineyards of some of the best wine in the world.

Bring your own or rent a bike and follow the routes of the Tour de France through perched villages and up Mont Ventoux. If you are looking for something less adrenalin-filled; tour the wine cellars and have a go at wine and food pairing; I can only hope you have enough luggage space for some bottles of your own to take home with you!

-Garage space for 2 cars, 3 extra private parking spaces and off-road parking

-11m x 5m pool with alarm complies with safety regulations. Heated April, May, Sept, Oct. Solar heated shower

-Rural views -despite being in a residential area there is complete privacy

-Walk to village

-A/C is reversible. There is a pellet stove in the living/dining room for extra heat in winter months

-Spa treatments available at an extra cost

-Main house 100 m², pool house 80 m²

-2 double bedrooms (160cm, 160cm beds), 1 multi bedroom (sleeps 3), 1 bathroom, 1 shower

-Pool house has living areas and a fully functioning kitchen with open fire for barbeques, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, sink, dishes, glasses, cutlery, and appliances

-Some pets may be accepted, please enquire beforehand

-Security deposit €1000

-€100 for end-of-stay clean

-€1.40 pp/day for tourist tax. Payable in cash to owner

-Arrival from 4pm. Contact us for a late arrival or baggage drop-off options. Depart by 10am
