A full stop at the end of a private gated path enclosed by olive and oak trees and the fragrant scent of lavender; Villa Alouette is a characterful stone house with seductively secretive charm. Rolling hills, the hum of cicadas and heartfelt hospitality welcome you to this hidden gem of a villa.

A quick trip takes you to the cobbled lanes of Roque-sur-Pernes. An itsy-bitsy quaint old village clinging to the rocks; wander the ramparts of the fortified castle, visit the Romanesque church, and pop into the local history museum. Or cycle to Saint Didier to pick up a French stick, some cheese and a bottle of wine to enjoy as you admire the awe-inspiring views from the poolside at Villa Alouette.

Interior

Each room in Villa Alouette is a house of calm with French windows opening out to far-reaching vistas and dotted with antique walnut furniture. Indulge in some ‘me-time’ on your bedroom’s terrace armed with a good book and a bottle of sun cream. The modern, fully equipped kitchen is made for socialising with a seat at the table for all but let’s head out of the living room, onto the terrace and down the steps to the exceptional poolside. Let’s face it, most of your time will be spent here…

Exterior

Afternoon’s are whiled away dipping in and out of the pool and cooling down in the cold water shower. Guzzle ice-cold beverages from the pool bar whilst seated on the cool stone seats, carved straight from the rocks themselves. When this gets too much for you, head round to the side of the house where the children can play on the swing and slide as the grown-ups enjoy a game of pétanque with a glass of Pastis. Villa Alouette is in an ideal position to visit the beautiful villages of the world-class wines of the Côte du Rhône, a quick drive from the perched villages of the Luberon yet worlds away from big city life.

-1 double bedroom on the ground floor -perfect for those with mobility restraints (140cm bed), 1 double ensuite bedroom  and terrace (160cm bed), 1 twin room with terrace, 1 separate bathroom, 1 separate shower room, 1 separate toilet

-3m x 6m pool (1.5m depth). Partially shaded with stunning views, soft cover –complies with safety regulations
