Mas du Temps, Lacoste, Luberon. Sleeps 8
Description
Overview
Equidistant between the two sought-after villages of Ménerbes – home to Peter Mayle, author of ‘A Year in Provence’ and Lacoste – where Marquis de Sade committed chilling acts in his castle is the Mas du Temps, nestled within the beautiful Luberon valley amongst pine trees and a kaleidoscope of flowers.
Steps and stones, bushes and blossoms, this enchanting country home is perfect for an immersive break into Provençal life with nature pulling you out of the back gate into the idyllic rural land.
Interior
The Parisian owners of this quaint and pastoral farmhouse have poured true love into restoring it into a wonderful Jekyll and Hyde of ancient roots with a stylish, well-kitted out interior. At Mas du Temps wooden beams and stone walls peek through from behind the cosy beds and sofas. As you prepare for the day in the tastefully modern bathrooms, you look out to the rustic courtyard; with open windows, you breathe in headily-scented flora.
Exterior
The heated pool takes centre stage in the dreamy gardens providing a private oasis from the searing heat of the day. Chase the sun or shade around the grounds from sun lounger to sheltered dining area and barbeque to the tables in the courtyard and out into the wild for a day of rambling in the stunning Provençal countryside.
After a day of exploring local ancient history and browsing in the independent boutiques, pop open a bottle of champagne and gaze up into the clear night’s sky in search of shooting stars!
