Le Mas Volets Blues, St Rémy, Alpilles. Sleeps 8
At Le Mas Volets Blues, guests can look forward to exploring the picturesque Provençal countryside, visiting art galleries, museums and markets or simply relaxing by the pool. Ideal for families looking for the ‘French experience’; you will see where wine and olive oil is grown, scenes that inspired Monet and Van Gogh and admire structures built by the Romans.
If you are looking for more adventure, you have the Alpilles and Luberon National Parks on your door step for hikes in pine forests, cycling through quintessential villages and sipping wine in the vines.
In typical Provençal style, Le Mas Volets Blues offers 4 comfortable bedrooms. Stay on the ground floor and push French windows out to your terrace with a cup of freshly ground coffee or take an upper floor room and enjoy elevated views of the lush garden. Prepare Provençal dishes with ingredients straight off the market and step out onto the terrace, just feet away from the kitchen, to enjoy dining alfresco.
Awaken to the sound of cicadas and jump on your bike to head to the Sunday morning market in Châteaurenard to pick up some local produce; here, you can find a few local commerce shops too for your weekday shopping. A quick puff up the hill to visit the Romanesque/Gothic castle (destroyed during the revolution by the villagers, now with only two remaining towers) then it’s back to Le Mas Volets Blues to laze the afternoon away by the pool; rounding the day off with a barbeque on the terrace in total privacy.
