Description
Overview
Perched in the hilltop village of Crillon-le-Brave hidden amongst blooming oleanders and mature trees is this hidden gem of a villa – Genévrier. Widespread views of the valley call you to jump on a bike and head to the traditional market in Caromb, don walking boots for trails along the jagged rocks of the Dentelles de Montmirail and drive to the summit of Mont Ventoux.
This beautifully restored house blends the ancient with the modern with sleek surfaces and stylish decor set against the exposed stone walls and white washed ceiling beams. You have all the up-to-date luxuries and appliances you need at Genévrier to make your stay comfortable whilst staying in a traditional setting.
Interior
Bright and stylish with a dose of originality and a kitchen made for socializing, self-catering has never been so appealing. A steep narrow staircase leads you up to bedrooms of minimalist décor with splashes of antique walnut furniture while the bathrooms are inventive, cool and contemporary. Genévrier comfortably sleeps 6 guest in 2 double ensuite rooms and 1 twin ensuite and when the kids have had enough sun there is ample space for all to snuggle up together in front of a film.
Exterior
Genévrier demonstrates the marriage of old and new equally well on the exterior as it does indoors. This ancient stone house has been lovingly restored, enlarged and fitted with a fabulous pool with a view to die for. From here, lavender bushes fill your senses till the whiff of sausages off the barbeque take over and lure you up to the covered pergola for lunch. As evening comes, you head round to the front of the house where a small table sits in the dappled sunlight and you sip Pastis with a bowl of garlicy olives.
