The Tour de France passes through these ‘most beautiful routes of France’, olives and their oil are produced here and gastronomic restaurants serve up sought-after black truffles.

Interior

Bergerie Saint-Véran enjoys accents of cream and beige with stylish flair while exposed stone walls and timber ceiling beams bring old-world charm. The children sprawl themselves out on the luxurious chesterfield leather sofa as they settle down to watch their favourite film on the wide-screen TV. Dinner is being prepared in the fully accommodating kitchen where large workspaces allow for many cooks and laughter flows out through the double doors to rosé-sipping friends on the pergola covered terrace.

4 gorgeous bedrooms await 9 guests. The master ensuite enjoys a calming white decor, ample storage for all your holiday outfits and an extra bed on the mezzanine, while another bedroom boasts its own terrace. With modern furnishings and a sprinkling of antique, this truly is a chic villa.

Exterior

From the manicured gardens and poolside the fabulous stone house blends into its surroundings of mature trees and shrub dotted hills against the pure blue sky. Afternoon sun-worshippers bask on the wooden deck retreating from time to time to the pool house bar and fridge for refreshments. Then a quick game and pétanque and table tennis is in order to reconnect with loved ones before the table is set on the terrace for a memorable Provençal meal.

But the great outdoors will pull you away from Bergerie Saint-Véran to hikes in the Dentelles, bike rides through picturesque villages and wine tasting in the cellars of the Rhône valley.
