Overview

As you pass lush vineyards and olive groves and cross hills and lavender filled valleys you know you have arrived in the most beautiful slice of France –Provence! At your journey’s end you are welcomed with pure blue skies and the hum of the cicadas. The children pile out of the car and take for the well-tended, vast lawns whilst you stretch out your legs on the sunlounger with an ice cold beer.

Secluded and private, Bastide du Maréchal is perfect for winding down after a year’s hard work. Yet still only a couple of minutes’ walk to the centre of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence where you can get your fix of art, culture and history.

Interior

With tones of butter and cream in the living areas and rustic red in the kitchen, Bastide du Maréchal emanates class and elegance. An antique walnut farm table adorns the dining room and the operative kitchen is perfect for rumbling up some ratatouille from fresh vegetables straight off the market.

This luxury, year-round villa is fully air-conditioned during the sweltering summer days and has central heating and an open fire for cosy winter evenings and the bedrooms are as calming as they are sophisticated.

Exterior

Spend hours relaxing in the hammock while the children frolic in the pool. Chase the sun and shade around Bastide du Maréchal from sunlounger to refreshments in the shade of the covered patio to an evening meal on the terrace on a warm summer’s eve.

If you can drag yourselves away, this area of Provence has a wealth of adventure and exploration to discover. Well-preserved Roman ruins, art museums, quaint villages, hikes and biking routes and gastronomic cuisine.
